Full or part payment will be required on booking. If you fail to attend your appointment or cancel at short notice, all or part of this fee may be retained.
Private appointments are booked with our senior Dentists. Following an examination, your treatment will be discussed, along with options and costs. As with all planned treatment, you will be given the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

NHS Price List
If you are not exempt from charges, you should pay one of the following charges for each course of treatment you receive:
Band 1 course of treatment £27.40
This covers an examination, diagnosis (eg x-rays), advice on how to prevent future problems, a scale and polish if needed, and application of fluoride varnish or fissure sealant. If you require urgent care, even if your urgent treatment needs more than one appointment to complete, you will only need to pay one Band 1 charge.
Band 2 course of treatment £75.30
This covers everything listed in Band 1 above, plus any further treatment such as fillings, root canal work or if your dentist needs to take out one or more of your teeth.
Band 3 course of treatment £326.70
This covers everything listed in Bands 1 and 2 above, plus crowns, dentures and bridges.
Please note that band 2 and 3 treatment costs will be taken in advance of booking. In order to retain your place on our NHS patient list, you must attend regularly for routine Dental care. Patients who do not attend for 2 years will be removed from our NHS patient list.
Independent Dental care – Price List
Whilst you are waiting to have your first appointment at our practice as an NHS patient, we can offer you a course of Independent Dental treatment with one of our Associate Dentists – see prices below.
You will be seen for an examination with routine x-rays, and any treatment that is required will be provided to you on an Independent basis. As with all courses of planned treatment, an estimate and treatment plan will be discussed and given to you.

- Root canal treatment in incisors from £120 per tooth
- Root canal treatment in premolars from £120 per tooth

- Crowns from £330 per tooth
- Bridges from £330 per unit
- Dentures from £330 per jaw

That’s why, when you choose Oliver’s Battery as your Winchester dentist we’ll make sure you know exactly how much your treatment will cost – whether you’re an NHS or private patient.
